In our Tip of
the Month
we want to focus on
"cost of ownership". This is a buzzword(s) that relates to
total cost of owning a piece of equipment or an accessory, etc.
Many of our customers are overseas and the cost to sent a spare part
can be very costly.
Here are a few
suggestions for you:
Plan, plan, plan.
When ordering a machine or blower, consider any extra parts you may wish to
order at that time. The spare parts ride nearly free when placed with
another order, however can be multiple times the cost of the spare part if
ordered separately. Consider spare brushes for a 309 blower,
replacement seals for an airlock style machine.
Fiber Concepts will do
everything possible in considering cost effective ways of shipping your
order. It is helpful when parts are needed, is to let us know if these
parts are urgent, or if a slower, alternate method is okay. Sometimes
good ole' US Airmail is the cheapest way. It may take a few days more,
but at great savings. Very recently we were able to save one of our
customers over $700. by using Concordia Air instead of UPS or Fedex.
Arrival time is comparable, but freight travels out of Dayton, Ohio, with a
local pickup arranged through Concordia. Best of all we have real
people when we call Concordia. Fred and Al handle your freight for us
with great professionalism, accuracy, and effeciency.
Cost of ownership also refers to total cost of investment vs. years
of dependable use. With Krendl equipment and proper
maintenance, the equipment we offer is a good deal. We value you as our
customer and want to continue to offer you quality Krendl equipment at an
affordable price for the very best "cost of ownership".
